Classical Music Library is a complete classical music collection, cross-referenced to a database of supplementary information with a user-friendly interface.
It features 35,000-plus fully licensed recordings, thousands of program notes and composer biographies, advanced searching, hundreds of recommended playlists themed by categories .
Any audio-enabled computer is able to play Classical Music Library. The following software for PC’s is recommended: Windows 98 (or higher), Internet Explorer v5.5sp2 (or better) or Netscape 6+, and Windows Media Player v8 (or better). For Mac’s on OS9 - Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.1 or above, or Netscape 4.7 or above. For Mac’s on OS10 - Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.2 or Netscape 6.2. Flash Player 6 is required for all systems. Please note: Due to the nature of the Internet and computers, some operating systems and browser configurations are not compatible with the service. Listen to music at two streaming rates:
STANDARD: music is streamed at 22 kilobits per second and provides similar sound quality to that of FM radio. It is particularly suitable for users on dial-up connections.
PREMIUM: music is streamed at 64 kilobits per second. This produces much higher quality sound but requires a broadband connection. |
