Borrow materials from a Tennessee Board of Regents or University of Tennessee Library near you. Apply for a TALC Borrower's card online. Borrowers need to comply with a lending library’s local policies and are responsible for observing them.
Note: Only apply for a TALC card if you will be using a TBR or UT Library other than your home school's library. Visit your home school's library if you live near the college you will receive your diploma from. Contact your college or university library's circulation desk and request your student id / library card.
If you are a regular student at a TBR college or university and are also taking an RODP course, please visit the library on your campus to be issued a TALC Borrower's card.
GUIDELINES:
- Request a TALC card from your home school by visiting the library if you live within 30 miles of your TBR home campus college or university campus. Please present a valid photo i.d.. Printed information regarding the course(s) you are currently enrolled in may also be of assistance.
- Fill out the TALC Universal Borrowers Library Application if you live beyond the 30 mile radius of your Home school and the library of your Home school will mail it to your registered home address.
- You must be currently enrolled in an RODP course to be eligible.
- Cards issued will be valid for one academic term
- Request a new card each semester you remain enrolled in the RODP program from your Home school campus library.
- Present a valid TBR/UT Borrower's Card and a photo I.D. to borrow materials from any of the participating libraries. No other form of I.D. will be accepted.
- Borrowers are responsible for the safe and timely return of materials to the lending library.
- Borrowers are responsible for returning materials and financial obligations incurred at the lending library. Notification of overdue materials is a courtesy, it does not absolve the borrower of library obligations.
- The lending library reserves the right to cancel the privileges of borrowers who fail to follow the policies of the library.
